According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Cavs and Grizzlies are in talks to send Marreese Speights and Josh Selby to Cleveland for Jon Leuer, with “picks involved”. More on this as it develops if it does, and I’m gonna go find out how to consistently pronounce “Leuer”….

UPDATE (& Quick REAX by Lee Eric Smith): According to Windhorst’s piece, Ellington is also going. Quick reax: Both of those guys did not quite fulfill expectations so far this season, but assuming the object of a Rudy trade was solely to get under the cap, this should put that to rest. All that said, Mo was fairly consistent in his production, and Wayne could swing games with his shooting, though streaky. Unless another move is on the horizon, I am instantly even MORE concerned about bench scoring . . . And for the record, I think Kenyon Martin is still looking for a team . . .

UPDATE (11:06 a.m.): SBNation is reporting that the Grizzlies are bringing in Delonte West, Sasha Vujacic & Bill Walker.  Don’t know if it’s true, but it would make some sense . . . the Grizzlies would need to get back to a 13 player roster after trading away three guys. West would be another capable ball-handler & shooter off the bench (though I’d be concerned about his mental health and how it mixes with Hollins’ tough style). Bill Walker had a nice run in New York last year. And I’d been craving a European shooter with a “chich” in his last name for a while. We shall see . . .
