February is almost over and the Grizzlies only have 2 games left to play, that hardest being at Brooklyn Nets, and Dallas at home is a must win. The Grizzlies’ win-loss record this month is equal to Spurs at 7-2, which is better than all other of these 8 teams. Below is table with the results and the schedule of the top 8 teams in the West.
A look at the remain schedule this month shows that the Clippers have 2 hard games against Utah and at Indiana. I think they will drop 1 or maybe 2 of their remaining games in February. Denver’s schedule is not difficult with only the Lakers as a team that could be trouble for them. Although the way they’ve played recently who knows.
If Kobe is correct that they will make the playoffs (which I doubt), who will they replace — Warriors, Jazz, or Rockets? Utah has the hardest remaining schedule of these three.
By the end of February the Grizzlies could be only 1 game or less back of the Clippers, while maintaining a 2 game lead over Denver. But March will be a bruiser of a month. I’ll post a table and schedule with record percent for March on Friday, March 1.
