According to the Commercial Appeal’s Grizzlies Twitter, the Grizzlies have picked up the options on Darrell Arthur and OJ Mayo (4th year options) and Hasheem Thabeet (3rd year option), and have declined the third year option on DeMarre Carroll, meaning that DeMarre Carroll will become an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Interesting, especially after last night’s debacle, wherein Thabeet was one of the principal offenders.

I’ll beat my co-blogger Zack to this-it turns out that we have traded Kyle Lowry, a thouroughly competent backup PG, for a guy who in all likelihood will not stick in the NBA.

Interesting, but not unexpected (and that statement applies to all these transactions).
