I realize all the Grizzlies fans are hurting over last night’s tough loss to the L A Lakers.

It hurts when you seem what you feel is an injustice happening. However, Memphis fans need to put the loss behind them and focus on what is ahead.

Tomorrow night the Grizzlies take on the Toronto Maple Leafs, I mean Toronto Raptors, and the fans must come out to support the team because the only thing worse than a tough loss is allowing it to affect you in the next game.

The Grizzlies have nothing to be ashamed of after last night’s game. They fought and scraped all night and if not for a few missed shots would have won the game regardless of the apparent one-sided nature of the officiating. The refs didn’t cost the Grizzlies the game. They didn’t make it any easier but it wasn’t the refs fault the team shot 2-19 from the arc. It wasn’t the refs fault the Grizzlies were beaten on the boards. That was the team’s fault and they feel lousy about it.

What the fans need to do is come out for the Raptors game and show the team the support that Memphis fans are famous for in supporting the Tigers. Don’t turn your backs on the team. Come out and support them because they feel worse than we do. To lose a heart-breaker in front of a packed house hurts. This is a proud team who have given their best this season even when the fans haven’t been in attendance. Now is the time to give the team our best to help them get over the loss.

I’ll be there standing and yelling again. I just hope that folks still come out dispite the fact the Tigers are playing around the same time.
