Does anyone think this will slow down his assimilation with the team this season?

I agree with you and i was asking the same question i understand Mayo wanted to try something new but Henry is a rookie and he really needs to be there.If he is not there the team will progress but what about him.We don't want him to be like our number 2 pick of last year just a body i say play him.Tell me what you think.

I don't think it will slow him down too much but I don't think this is a good way to make friends and influence people on the team. Lionel Hollins in particular is not going to be happy with this attitude.

My question is, Is this a matter of the agent wanting to get paid or Henry just not wanting to play because of contract.I mean he is the #12 pick overall so he his guaranteed money?I believe as a fan of Memphis they can't let him go like Jones to Dallas i mean like look at what he is doing over there solid numbers I believe and I just think they need to sign him and get on with it.Truly speaking how do you feel about the roster for this year?

I believe this is a control issue for the agent. He doesn't want his client exposed to injury or reality until after he has signed the best contract available.

Heisley is tired of paying draft picks who don't perform so he has initiated a policy apparently of giving the max deal only in incentives and not for being drafted.

This battle is going to be watched closely by other teams and agents too. If Heisley wins then more owners will adopt this philosophy in negotiations. If the Arn Tellum wins then it is likely this tactic will die with Heisley.

Well I believe that basketball is all about rythmn and not playing will cause him minutes even if he is signed for the lack of drive to be a successful player.Because if he doesn't sign maybe it will be hard for him to play because not many teams got to see him or know much about him.Vasquez is slowly showing that the point guard position at Memphis can be his and if i'm not mistaking he is not signed as well but showing the Grizzlies that he is who they drafted.Henry needs to be on the court,this is a team that clearly needs to have their chemisrty together to be successful and the more involved they are with each other the better they played,it's going to be interesting this next upcoming season.Henry get on the court and follow your of becoming an NBA player because you only get one chance.Talk to you soon Chip.
