The USA team has released a partial list of players chosen to compete for spots on this summer World Championship team. The players chosen will likely be on the 2012 Olympic team as well.

So far no Grizzlies players have been named. Do you expect any players to be chosen? Do you want them spending a lot of time this summer competing for a spot on the team and then playing games for the national team instead of preparing for the upcoming NBA Season? Would you be upset if no Grizzlies are selected.

I don't really expect any of our guys to make the squad this year, and it won't upset me if doesn't happen. It would be a GREAT experience for somebody like Rudy or OJ to get to go and see how the best play and prepare. The Olympic experience was what took both Bosh's and Carmello's game "to the next level".

I think Bosh and Carmello were well on the way to the next level and the Olympic selection just showed their development but with so many big names out this year I hope Rudy and OJ make a good showing. It would help soothe feelings in Memphis that the team isn't being built properly.
