For the last couple of years the fans of Memphis have gotten accustomed to the way Hollins works the team. The season starts slow, momentum begins to build in January, a streak ensues in February or March followed by a coast into the playoffs.

This year was different. The team started off hot. Red hot in fact as they leapt into the role of front-runner right out of the box with a 12-2 starts. Since then the Grizzlies have gone 14-12. Instead of building momentum they seem to be treading water. What's worse is the front office appears to be so naive as to believe they can leak stories to the press of trades (according to some writers) and not be blamed for disrupting the team's chemistry.

One has to wonder when or if the team will put it together again for a run to the playoffs.
