Jeremy Pargo has a miniscule contract, has performed poorly so far in Las Vegas (building on a weak performance his rookie season) and is now deeply buried on the Grizzlies bench. Anyone have a realistic idea of what the Grizzlies should do with him?

See if you can get a 2nd rounder for him as the season goes on, injuries and things happen, he may help a team desperate for a backup PG.

Man if the Grizzlies got a 2nd round draft pick for an undrafted player with a contract he hasn't earned that would be something incredible. Too bad Isiah Thomas isn't GMing in the league anymore.

Crazier things have happened, I am a former Washington Wizards fan, seen a lot worse/crazier. However, waiving is more likely. OR, something that hasn't been as discussed as much is Wroten starting in the D-League. Pargo can be the last-man-in leading into the deadline, see if there is a demand for guard depth as the season goes on and try to execute a trade and call up Wroten. From watching him in Summer League, he needs minutes, and he won't see many of them behind Bayless, Selby and (possibly) Ellington.

This was my thought, too. Simply waiving him seems to be easy, given what we've seen from Selby and Wroten in SL, as well as signing Bayless, but I'd rather keep him around as a just-in-case guy -- either for us if we get bitten by the injury bug, or for another team with similar issues.

The potential for packaging Pargo (either just as a contract or because a team needs another PG) with either Cunningham or possibly Pondexter for an upgrade at backup SF or C is too likely an option to pass up before training camp even happens.

Pargo and DC for a backup C and signing Janning would be close to ideal, I would prefer a Pargo and DC for a better-than-Ellington shooter (ideas?) and resigning Haddadi.

What team has a backup center they would trade for a bad PG and a career backup PF/SF? Who are you thinking about?

Well if they all resign and we can't minimum them, players like an Aaron Grey or a Semih Erden, Jordan Williams from the Nets could also be a possibility.
