After losing two straight road games (thanks in no small part to a difficult schedule) the Grizzlies return home for two straight home games. What's terrifying is to realize this is the last time this season the Grizzlies will play back to back games in the same city.

That's right. Every game after the Minnesota-OKC double header involves the team traveling to play the game.

That doesn't mean there won't be any more home games. There will be home games. It's just that the games before and after the home games are on the road.

This will be a terribly difficult stretch for the boys from Memphis. Assuming the Grizzlies will make the playoffs, and I do believe that is assured right now if not mathematically guaranteed, the Grizzlies won't play two games in the same city until the first round of the playoffs. From March 20th to AT BEST April 20th the Grizzlies will not play two games in a row in the same city. That is exactly one month for those calendar challenged.

Has anyone heard of a longer streak for any NBA team? The Spurs play the Rodeo Road Trip every year but that is only a few weeks not a full month.

I am not sure of the streak but I honestly think the crazy schedule sometimes is good for the Grizzlies. SOMETIMES. Obviously this past one was rough but there is something about that final month before playoffs. The Grizzlies seem to really push it to the next level during this time. I want them to be able to rest but I also think we aren't as good when we cool off for too long. That being said, I'm looking forward to seeing how the Grizzlies handle this last stretch!

The Wizards game at the FEF earlier in the season was not the greatest game the Griz have played, and the Knicks will SURELY still be lookin' for revenge for the WHOOPING the Griz put on them back in the halcyon days of November. Two tough road games for sure.
