I hate seeing the Grizzlies ranked in the bottom 10. Jimmy Spencer @FoxSports and Matt Moore @CBSSports have comments that show they appreciate the difficult situation the Grizzlies have.
Spencer, "It’s actually impressive the Grizzlies are still able to field a team at this point. Already missing Marc Gasol and Tony Allen, it now appears that Quincy Pondexter could miss significant time with a stress fracture in his right foot. In the competitive West, this depleted stretch hurts."
Moore, "I’ve seen hospital dramas with fewer injuries in a season." The injuries are taking a toll on the wins, but hopefully Marc, Tony, and Ed will all come back healthy. Quincy’s going down for the season is a problem, thus the reason the Grizzlies are auditioning other guards.
With all the talk of playing faster, Matt Dollinger @SI says, "Memphis ranks last in pace and is averaging fewer points per 100 possessions (100.0) than last season (101.7)."
Memphis is still considered to have had one of the hardest schedules. Miami, for all the hype, is not dominating even against a weak schedule.
