The big surprise, to me at least, is that the Grizzlies only have one back-to-back-to-back series (April 2-4). Of course, that is in the midst of a 5 games in 6 nights…….no, scratch that. It’s actually smack dab in the middle of 7 games in 9 nights…5 of which are road games. Thank you schedule makers.
The Grizzlies will also cash in on their success last season by ratcheting up the number of nationally televised games to 5, as well as 5 more games on NBA TV.
It tips off on January 12 against the New York Knicks on TNT. Four nights later on the 16th, they play the Chicago Bulls on ESPN in their annual Martin Luther King, Jr. game. Then they travel to Los Angeles to play the Clippers on TNT on the 26th. On February 12, there is the rare Sunday home game on ESPN, against the Utah Jazz, of all teams, before they close things out with a March 25th trip to L.A. to play the Lakers, also on ESPN.
NBA TV games: 1/23 @ Golden State, 2/5 @ Boston, 2/15 @ New Jersey, 3/7 @ Golden State, 4/15 @ New Orleans
