Rudy Gay was in the last batch of players to be cut from this year’s Men’s Olympic basketball team.

To tell you the truth I was kinda of glad he didn’t make the team. The Olympics just adds to the strain player’s bodies take and, after the condensed 2011-12 season, I felt Rudy needed the rest more than the honor.

NBA Releases 2012-13 Schedule

The NBA released their 2012-13 schedule today and the Memphis Grizzlies will open their campaign on Halloween night on the road against their recent playoff opponent, the Los Angeles Clippers. Their first home contest will be against the Utah Jazz on November 5th.

The Memphis Grizzlies acquired guard/forward D.J. Kennedy from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for guard Jeremy Pargo, a 2014 second round pick and cash considerations, Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced today.

The Memphis Grizzlies acquired guard Wayne Ellington from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for forward Dante Cunningham, Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced today.
