Admit it: The Grizzlies have effectively wiped your memory of Games 1 & 2 in Los Angeles, no? It’s not just that the team held serve by winning Games 3 and 4 in Memphis; it’s HOW they did it — by dominating the boards, and playing grit-n-grind bully ball, Z-Bo & Big Spain style.
There’s more great audio from the lockerroom than Matt Noe could fit into his postgame wrap-up. But that’s what we have this posting for, to tide you over until Game 5 on Tuesday night! Enjoy!
First off, I had to make sure you heard this: Clippers Forward Matt Barnes was rather despondent after the loss, and he talks about how his team “got punked.”
And if you missed Grizzlies Coach Lionel Hollins post-game presser, here it is. Like he always does, he shoots down some stupid questions* but with a win in hand, at least he as a smile and not a scowl on. And for fans who noticed, Tayshaun Prince got the ball at the opening tip and promptly racked up 7 points, 2 boards and 1 assist in the first quarter. Toward the end of the press conference, I asked Coach if he drew it up to get Tay going early. He laughed and said, “I’m not that smart.”
