Post-Game Takeaways:

#1: The Grizzlies score 49% of their points in the paint this season. The more points they score in a game however, the lower their percentage of points in the paint. This stat tells metro things: 1) The Grizzlies must get help from their perimeter players and jump shooters in order to hang with the high scoring Western Conference teams; 2) The Grizzlies must hold opposing teams to under 90 points when their jump shooting is below 40%.

#2: ZBO, Marc & Mike scored and took over the game when they needed to. That’s why those 3 have to do to make this team a threat in the West.

#3: This-

#4: And this-

Let’s just stop for now. He’s good. He’s an asset for us. I LOVE watching him play. However we are 8-2 in last 10 games. We’re winning. If Joerger wanted us to know something more, he probably wouldn’t tell us.

#5: The Grizzlies are now 8-2 in their last 10. The only teams hotter are the Clippers (9-1) and Spurs (10-0). The Grizzlies are now (percentage points) in the 7th seed with 15 games to play. Portland and Phoenix have 14, Dallas and Golden State have 13 left. That’s good that Phoenix has less games to catch you but also bad that Dallas, Portland and Golden State have less games to mess up in front of you… for now, just keep winning.
