8 games to go! Clawing to hold on to a playoff spot. So far, a weak road trip with one game left against dangerous Minnesota.

3 teams in a dead-heat for the 7th and 8th spots and the 6th playoff spot close to all three. Memphis has won the series against Phoenix but lost the series against Dallas. They are 2-2 against Golden State, but if they were to end tied, the Warriors would have the edge, as they have the second tie-breaker of best division record.

Looking at the remaining schedules the Grizzlies have an easier schedule than Phoenix who plays 6 playoff teams, including 6 of the 8 teams above them in the West. Dallas has a slightly tougher schedule than Memphis. They play 4 playoff teams, besides the Clippers and Spurs, the Warriors tonight and the Grizzlies as the last game of the season. It’s looking more and more like that last game will determine a lot about playoff final standings. Who to pull for tonight in the Warriors-Mavs game, as a Grizzlies fan?

So the Grizzlies play 2 sub 500 teams before a date with the "unbeatable" Spurs on Sunday, April 6. Will the Spurs have won 19 in a row when the play the Grizzlies?

Golden State plays only 3 more current playoff teams, and their next two games could determine if they hold on to 6th place or even more up to 5th. They play at Dallas tonight and at San Antonio Wednesday. A tough back-to-back.

Portland has the easiest remaining schedule of the West teams in the 5th to 9th places. It seems they will hold on to the 5th seed, unless Golden State can overtake them.

Below is a table that shows the remaining schedule for the 1st to 9th position in the West. Enjoy.

Below the table is the way tie-breakers are determined, according to ESPN.
