As expected (and as NBKay posted) the Grizzlies are at the top 1 or 2 or 3 and probably would have been totally in first place except for the Denver loss. John Schuhmann @NBA.com has the Grizzlies again like last week as the “Hero Team of the Week: Memphis (3-0) – Wins over the Thunder (on the road) and Knicks give the Grizz their second straight HToW distinction.”
Marc Stein @ESPN wrote “We haven’t seen a team mow through three straight opponents sporting winning percentages of .750 or better, as the Memphis Grizzlies just did, since the opening month of the 2000-01 season. And we’ve never seen the Grizzlies sporting the league’s best record this deep into an NBA season. Two big reasons why you suddenly see the Grizzlies atop ESPN.com’s weekly NBA Power Rankings. The Grizz were already off to a fine start, but consecutive wins last week on the road in Oklahoma City and at home against New York — after the previous Sunday’s dismantling of Miami — ensured that Memphis made the four-spot jump from No. 5 to No. 1.”

The Grizzlies had a setback last night, but they are still number one with me. Love them!
Nice! 8-2 start isn’t bad by any measure. It’s not really about the rank at the beginning of the year, it’s about who’s left standing at the end. That being said, I think we stand a good chance!
